Effective June 18th, 2020, the California Department of Public Health has updated their guidelines and has now mandated wearing face coverings in public in certain situations.
Due to these updates, all attendees of the Summer Solstice Gathering & Ritual are required to wear a face covering while attending our event.
If you fall under the guidelines to be exempt, please always practice social distancing and be vigilant in hand hygiene for your safety and the safety of others.
For more information on the updated guidelines, please visit https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/OPA/Pages/NR20-128.aspx
A copy of these guidelines will also be available and posted at the event.
A message to our community about the upcoming Summer Solstice Gathering & Ritual on Saturday, June 20th at Strad Meadery.
The NorCalBHS takes precautions against the spread of Covid19 very seriously. We encourage everyone who is comfortable with the current guidelines to join us as we gather to celebrate our Pagan heritage and faith by welcoming in the 2020 Summer Solstice.
Attendees to our event are highly encouraged to wear masks, wash hands often and practice social distancing. The rationale for asking attendees to wear masks and clean hands is simple. There may be folks who are immuno-compromised or who have autoimmune diseases, who would be more susceptible to the virus than most of the population. We ask that for their safety, that social distances and masks be worn as much as possible.
While we encourage you to bring a mask and hand sanitizer with you, we understand that not everyone who wishes to attend has access to these items. Therefore, the NorCalBHS will have a limited supply of masks and sanitizer on hand.
The NorCalBHS will update precautions as needed based on any new information from the CDC or other agencies as it becomes available.
Our event is happening predominately outdoors, and we encourage folks to bring chairs and/or pop up canopies. A six-foot social distancing recommendation will be observed throughout the event as well as during our evening Summer Solstice Fire Ritual. It is also requested that attendees adhere to that recommendation in lines to the food truck(s), raffle tables, and Mead ordering in the tasting room.
As stated above, our goal is to provide a safe environment for all those in attendance. We would love to have you join us with safety and mindfulness.
